The defect is exactly as pictured—a rough, unpolished edge on the white plastic. However, the lamp turns on, looks incredibly stylish, and costs next to nothing compared to its original price. You can't beat the value.

Bought this for my home office and it looks so classy on my desk. You can feel a bit of a ridge/defect on the inner swirl of the shade, but who touches their lamp shade anyway? The light output is great, and the clearance price was a total steal.

Amazing deal! The lamp works perfectly and casts a beautiful warm glow through the ribbed inner cylinder. The structural flaw on the white cage is noticeable if you stare right at it, but I just turned that side toward the bookshelf. So cheap and 100% functional!

The wooden base is gorgeous and gives off a great mid-century vibe. The 3D printed shade has a rough edge on one of the inner curves, just like the photos showed. It doesn't affect the light at all, and for the heavily discounted price, I am thrilled.
